Join other’s party or host one
Once you launched the Kast app, you will immediately see its sleek and intuitive user interface that is partnered with a dark background—perfect for a viewing party. On the home page, you’ll instantly spot all the ongoing streaming group parties that you could join. When you click a certain party, you’ll see all the moderators and members of the group, as well as who’s currently watching. All the parties you have joined will show up under the “My Parties” section.
If you want to invite your friends, family, or anyone for a streaming party, just click on the group name that was automatically created when you signed up then click “Invite.” You can search your friends, choose among random people shown in the prompt, or copy and share the link to your loved ones. This specific group party is private only—thus, those who are uninvited can never access it. Hosting a new streaming group party is also possible. Just click “Create Party” then you’ll be able to customize your party names, header photo, description, tags, language, and privacy—you have the option to make it Private or Public.
Kast has tons of promising features. However, its performance and execution are devastatingly poor. Most of the video and audio streams are not working. Some may work but the streaming is choppy and the video contains low resolution.
